    Even though I said I would avoid Sunday brunch, we went back and I'm glad we did. Plenty to eat and the prime rib was cooked to perfection and was served just the way I like it. If it wasn't for the fact that I ate too much, I would make it more habit forming. Plus, as I eat my umpteenth slice of meat, I justify it by thinking I'm gunna skip desert, then help my wife finish hers. I was brought up with "waste not want not"

    We were at R-Haus for a club function and ate from the buffet. Some of the food was pretty good, but the veggies were canned and mushy. The carved prime rib was very good. Decor really needs improvement. Carpeting must be 20 years old. But the view of the river is wonderful.

    Had Mothers Day Brunch last Sunday., and had a pleasant time. They were busy, and kept bring out fresh trays as were needed. We enjoyed the food and I always liked the gravy. However, we were saddened to find out that that was their last hurrah. They are now closed and not to reopen. But... They have selected another location and will be back.

    It was .. Just ok. Nothing more nothing less. Had the chicken sandwich and there was a bone in it. The lemonade was way to sweet and syrup like. Server was nice and the lounge was also ok.

    Just got back from Easter Brunch, we were sat in the Bar area. We had a fruit and eclairs, green salad, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, mushrooms, potatoes and prime rib. Thought it was tasty, when we went to leave we noticed that downstairs had omelets, fresh waffles, and more choices. Definitely changed my mind about returning when we had to pay the same price for less options.

    The view is absolutely gorgeous, and this has the potential to be a huge hot spot. We has a group of four and ordered the appetizer mozzarella sticks ($7), sodas ($2.50), salads and rolls all around (included with meal), two orders of the angel hair with crab ($19), grilled halibut with baked potato and green beans ($19), and prime rib with baked potato and green beans ($20). The cheese sticks were great, and the breading was much to our liking. The kitchen had run out of marinara sauce, but cooked some up for us for dipping. The salads were fresh and crisp, but the mushrooms on top were old and chewy. The rolls were warm, fresh, and soft. The angel hair pasta was good, but nothing special. With imitation krab instead of real crab, it was certainly not worth the price paid. The shallots were nowhere to be found. The halibut was delicious, moist, and perfectly cooked. The potato was made well, also. The green beans were rubbery, under seasoned, and obviously not fresh (frozen). The biggest disappointment of the night was the prime rib. While the size was huge, it was sub-par. It was ordered medium rare, and delivered well-done. It was chewy and felt as if it was simply reheated leftovers from days past. We spoke with the owner who was very nice. He explained that he got the wrong order from the delivery company and apologized for the quality. He also informed us he will be changing the menu to a southern style comfort food menu soon. The highlight was definitely the view, and the wonderful waiter who took very good care of us. He seemed very apologetic and aware of the issues with the restaurant. I hope the change of menu brings about some better quality and more affordable food.

    This review is for the Sunday brunch... The view along the river is wonderful and that's the only reason to go there for brunch. Brunch is steep at $18 per person. Standard steam table fare that was less attractive than most motels. Dark serving area. Very rubbery eggs, brown n' serve sausages from the grocery store, dried out country fries, soggy steam table waffles, no pancakes, biscuits that were leaden and gravy without much meat or flavor. Four salads, fruit, pasta, green. Skip the steam table and go to the omelet table for a fresh omelette or ask them to make a fresh waffle (they will). The one thing good on the table was the mushroom buttons. Those were tasty. There was a carver at the roast beef station and that was good. No ham or any other meat. Little plates of desserts were good. There are so many better choices in Grants Pass but you can't beat the river view.

    New remodel looks good. Bartender was friendly and knowledgable. Nice to see the upgrades.

    Went to R Haus Sat. Night. Was not impressed at all. My husband got the ribs they were all fat. One waitress was running around telling people the rice was off the menu because it was bad. The vegi were no taste at all. They also put sour cream on my baked potato before putting butter on it. Then said oh foil butter packs in table. Don't think we will be back.

    What a gorgeous location, directly fronting the beautiful Rogue River. This place needs some serious updating, inside and out. Starting to look very worn out and dated. The menu is typical American fare, with a little german tossed in. We came for the evening Prime Rib & Seafood buffet, but when we saw it, decided to order from the menu. The buffet is kind of so so, and dishes are on portable steam tables, and un-attended. We found the food adequate, but nothing special. Canned string beans?? C'mon guys, fresh vegetables abound in Southern Oregon. No excuse for this. Mashed potatoes tasted like they were from a box. The "chef" shows no real pride in what he or she serves. The wait staff is very friendly and attentive. This place could be the gem of Southern Oregon. It has a huge facility, and a million dollar view. The food is no better than Denny's. Sad.

    I had dinner at R Haus. The halibut was white and delivered on a white plate. It had no garnish, no spice, no flavor. There was a miniscule platter of vegetables to be shared and there was hardly enough for one person yet this was supposed to be shared by 8 people. The potatoes were tasty but again, only enough for a mouse portion. The other people at our table had very bland and tasteless food. Very disappointing. Nice location. The owners need to hire a better chef and modernize the place. We won't be back.
